Hi all just thought i'd post this useful tip here i found on http://www.davesastr...rial/index.html

I was having trouble with sky glow etc on some of my pics & this worked a treat for me, i know it may have been covered but here is a before & after so you can see how effective it is.

The background extraction routine works very well in the LE version of the program, if you can still get it, but the routine has been improved considerably for the full version of the program, along with plenty of other astro tools.

The first one looks like vignetting as opposed to a sky gradient to me. Did you use flats before?

I did use Flats yes but only had 5, 10 darks & 13 subs (if i remember correctly). This was one of my early Piggy-Backed images with my 600D.

How much is the Full version ?

I am still very happy with how the LE version performed though, just thought others might be interested as it's so straight forward.
