RACI finder

Anyone using a non RACI straight thru finder... What people EXPECT to use a finder deserve to not find things..... Why make stuff hard.

A green laser and a RACI will do for pretty much any scope, though a bigger finder helps when the light pollution reduces the star count.

Without a RACI finder how are you supposed to use all those lovely right way round charts??

If you have a straight through finder you can just turn the star chart upside down!

I made my RACI finder from a cheapo 70mm achromat going for 60 euro or so. I added tube rings, a 22mm 70 deg Erfle with illuminated cross-hairs, and later replaced the supplied 45 deg Amici prism with a 90 deg version. Not the cheapest bit of kit when you add it all up, but money well spent.

I use a prism diagonal on my scope so that is CI as well !!
