pentax lens to canon camera adapter ring help

i've recently bought this adapter an put it on one of my pentax lenses, no problem. i then tried to take it off and put it on another lens however i cannot work out how to take it off the lens. is this even possible? surely it must come off otherwise i can no longer use the lens on the pentax camera. any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Theres usually a tab that you need to move to release the ring... Look for the piece of the ring that has two narrow slots in it...

just a quick hi-jack, are the plastic pin hole hoika? type lens any use, i ask as i can get one for my pen micro four thirds, quite cheap, and what would they be used for?
