m31 or m77 witch is easier

Witch galaxy is easier to image for a newbie?

Without having tried M77 myself I would say M31. It's bigger, brighter, easier to find and higher in the sky.

You're not going to get too much of M31 on the chip, are you?

It's actually a very difficult object because the core easily overexposes while the outer part is very faint so the dynamic rage is hard to manage. While the core is bright it is murderoulsy difficult to coax any detail out of it. BTW, there's too much moon for broadband imaging at the moment.
