nylon gears, worm drives and stepper motors

I am toying with the idea of building a barn door tracker for my DSLR based on a big gear (circa 120mm) a worm gear and a variable speed stepper motor. Mechanically it would be quite simple, but getting the right drive speed might be very hard! I can make the outer case with a 3D printer although I have no idea how I would keep the gears in place... The idea probably won't go anywhere, but does anyone know where to source nylon gears (EU area)?
