Basic imaging opinions.

Hi, I'm thinking of dipping my toe in imaging and would like a bit of advice on this http://www.celestron.com/astronomy/celestron-neximage.html Now, i realise that it's very basic but my scope is only a 5.1" EQ2 (motor driven) and wouldnt be any good for anything considered 'pro', It's basically for a bit of messing about, to see if I would want to take it any further. The price is very reasonable but does it (like it usually does) reflect the end result, i.e Naff ? All i'm wanting at the moment are half decent planetary images & maybe M31 &M42, altho im not expecting Hubble quality  I'd just like to know if the money spent would be better put to another E.P or a UHC filter as i'd love to see the Veil neb at some point.

Any advice would be gratefully recieved.
