dark sky locations in the west mids

Hi everyone,

does anyone around the west midlands know of any good dark spots to star gaze from? LP isnt too bad by my house but there is a street light right by my garden which tends to cause a bit of glare. Just got a new 'scope a few days ago and would like to make the most of it. I live in tamworth but have a car so am able to travel. Would love to hear from people in the area!

Not 100% accurate (it won't show you if there is a flood-lit golf driving range in your chosen spot!!) but gives you a good idea of where to head. I believe there is an active group that goes to Cannock Chase to observe?
