Tube rings for a celestron 114slt

Hello,

I have a celestron 114slt that I would like to mount onto an eq5. The 114 has a plate attached directly to the scope that fits the alt/az goto celetron mount, I was considering removing this and buying tube rings to fit but I am not sure of the appropriate size to buy, does any one have any ideas or suggestions?

I can check a set of tube rings of my former Konus 4.5" (114mm) scope. I have converted this into a mini dob for the kids, so the tube rings are gathering dust. I can check this this evening what their diameter is, and if they match your scope's tube, you can have them for free (well, postal costs).

I have just measured them, and the are suitable for a 140mm tube diameter. Let me know if that is OK.
