Hi everyone! Can I place an Equinox 120mm on a Meade LX80 Mount? Please help!

Yes. Both uses Vixen dovetail

Yes you can I would have thought it would have ideal, you just need the correct mounting dovetail bar I think you should be OK . If it were me doing it I would be sure that they would be different but you may be in luck.

The LX 80 is fine for the weight in both modes

Well yes, so far as I know all the first batch had to be recalled.

I thought it was the bigger LX800 that was recalled, or did they recall the LX80 as well?

If they recalled both models than they have some serious issues with their QC and it will be best not to be a guinea pig for any new model from Meade in the future.

It's a shame they can't sort out their quality, the price is attractive for what it claims to be able to carry and maybe it was too good to be true...
