Alternative to using built in mount polar scope

Hi all,

Got a bit of problem I need some help with. I've living in some rented accommodation until my new house is finished being built, and the garden is not ideal for astronomy, I.e. a big street light at the end of the garden.

I'm trying to polar align my skywatcher heq5 pro mount, but the street light is drowning out any visibility through the built in polar scope.

Is there any other way to polar align, other than doing a visual drift alignment which can be time consuming.

The latest version of the firmware has a polar realignment routine. The firmware is still in beta format so may have small bugs.

Just found a YouTube video on align master, has anyone got any experience of this, is it any good ?

Thanks peter but I use eqascom / eqmod so don't use the hand controller, and I can't switch back as I've just belt modded my mount.

Sorry all, looks like an unnecessary post as I think I've found the solution. Alignmaster seems to looks vey simple and seems to be getting rave reviews with people saying it's very precise, so will give that a whir.
