Had an interesting morning imaging through clouds?!?!?!? Couldn't believe that I was actually getting these images through thin cloud cover.

Another nice set, especially considering the conditions. Yesterday was the day, I managed 30 minutes yesterday before guests came for a BBQ, will post tomorrow.

The same picture from 8/9/12 processed first in Registax 5 and then in AS2. I still think the Registax is better.

Sorry forgot to mention the Registax used a flat file, but when I tried a flat with AS2, it over-expossed really badly in the centre of the screen.

Nice pics, I agree with the Registax process giving a better result.

I did a similar trial last night comparing AS2! & Reg6 when processing yesterdays images, I also found that I prefer the Reg6 results too. These images above where all processed through Reg6 and think I will continue to use it for processing my solar images in future.

Hi Kevin,

Most people reckon AS2 is better for solar images, but I can't get it to use flats correctly no matter how hard I try. I am probably more use to Registax, but even so I find I am getting better results from Registax. There are a few tutorials around for AS2, Montana sent me the links and my AS2 images were greatly improved when I followed these.
