A start on NGC281

This image, in Yves' 14 inch ODK/Mesu Mount 200/H36, is too short on data to be presentable at full size but since I was experimenting with HaRGB processing I got this far and thought I'd share it. Don't look too closely! It has 5.5 Hrs of good Ha in 30 minute subs, a selective application of a further 5 hours under a high haze, and an hour per channel colour. The plan is another full Ha run and another hour per channel RGB.

I think I'll tone down the saturation a bit (or a lot!) in the finished version - if the storm system over Corsica deigns to go away and restore our usual skies!!

Oh, I'm not grumbling, we'd just like to finish a version which stands up to fullsize so as to explore the dust lane and the Bok Globules.

Now that's what i call a start! Most people would be happy with that as a finish. Although being a perfectionist brings out some stunning images!

Very nice (and red! ). Super detail, I can tell those globs are going to be spectacular at full res.
