Ok so last night for the first time I attached my Hyperion zoom to my DSLR using the T ring.

This is just a single shot at the 8mm setting on the zoom and it came out ok.

Not too bad a view using the Hyperion zoom for this purpose.

In the wavelets section of Registax (assuming you're using it) there's an "RGB align" button to the right of the main display window. Because of atmospheric diffraction the red and blue ends of the spectrum can be shifted away from each other in the image. That filter attempts to estimate the amount of shift and move the colours back to where they ought to be.

The red fringe on the top right of your image and the blue fringe to the bottom left should reduce or even disappear if you do that.
