meade ls 6/8"

has any 1 used or have a meade ls model with screen,was wondering what they perform like and are they any good for imaging,whats the ccd chip like in them thanks sam

Not sure on the meade...With the dob you can use a web cam to image the planets but it a tough process..I have used a Philips web cam and had some reasonable results on Jupiter...

If you want to do any pics of galaxies or star clusters you really need a driven mount..So one that fits under the dob base for £400 or an EQ6 tripod for a lot more than that..
