Iridium Flare - 11/08

Hi all,

Did anyone see the Iridium Flare last night.

About 22:20.

Checked on CalSky today, it was Metop-a (apparently a meteorologial satellite).

First time i've seen one like that, absoultely stunning.

That is a good way to cause confusion, as technically I would have said the only an Iridium Satellite could produce an Iridium Flare :grin:

The confusion being that your Iridium Flare does not exist on something like Heavens-Above that specifies only the Iridium satellites.

Better add the other site to the list for these things.
