Synscan Version ?

Hi all,

I have had my NEQ6 for a few months now and decided to check the software version, it is saying V1.7 and I cannot find this on the skywatcher website so is it that much out of date the latest version (not BETA) is V3.7 surely a new handset wouldnt be out of date that much?

The V1.7 refers to something other than the Synscan firmware version. The handset displays the firmware version when you powerup the mount. The current version of the EQ firmware is 3.27, and the revision 3.07 firmware is for the AZ GOTO mount.

Perhaps the v1.7 refers to the firmware for the mount itself rather than for the handset?

Looks like tonight is going to be a no show anyway a neighbour street away has started a fire in his back garden and bits of soot going everywhere.

Mmmmmm me thinks the fire brigade could come in handy im sure our estate is a smokefree zone.
