Turning a 12" light shroud into a 10"

Finally got my 12" Astro Engineering light shroud from Astro Boot. Total bargain at £13 for a pristine unused item. Thats the good news, the bad news is that Ive got a 10" dob.

Having tried in vain all week to get an answer out of Astro Engineering about the availability of a 10" shroud in the future, I took advantage of the above bargain. All I need to do now is to take my scissors ad knife to it.

However, before I reduce the well engineered shroud to a less that perfect mod, is there is the Bristol / South West Area that has a Astro Engineering 10" shroud that I could make a template from?? This would save me a lot of trouble as well as making for a much better final mod.

Should you be unable to find someone to provide you with a template, perhaps making one up out of paper or card to get the fit correct would be a good plan?

Oh, that wouldn't be a problem. You could just use the one you made earlier

To make a template buy some cheap 1700 grade wallpaper (lining paper) from B&Q.

Its thick enough to be able to work with, but cheap enough to be able to have a few tries.

Oh, and its also great for drawing on when doing full size designs for telescope tubes
