M 27 the " Forgotten Nebula "

Just remembered what I was doing on Tuesday night while waiting for Andromeda to come round , I was shooting this.

17 x 1 minute @ ISO 1600 through DSS.

I love the ' tail 'of stars hanging from the bright one at the top of the frame , does it have a name as per Kemble...?

This stacking game's rather addictive , I've never got so many stars before , especially that many shining through the nebula....

Clear and cooler than last night here , could be a long one again.......
