Brightstar Mammut ORDERD :)

just order an st80 and a brightstar mammut guide camera for modern astronomy also helped me decide on my first CCD which i will be ordering in august

Any specifics? From a quick Google I can see they have the same sensor (so it should be good!)

Not had first light yet (other than to get focus spacing correct between the imager and guider) I've put the rig together over the later part of last season and the summer, and I don't really bother to set up during June/July ... ask me again mid Aug

My reason for asking is I fear I'm going to have to go down the Lodestar/similar route if the DSI can't pull a guide star constantly enough ... though the DSI is certainly very sensitive compared to say a QHY5

he said its cooled and its super sensitive and will work great with the st80 and its only £10 more i was going for the new QHY IMOGH but he said the chips is small and he said go for the mammut its better than the loadstar so if its Rubbish i will be sending it back but i trust Bern hes a nice chap

just been looking at these myself, all the specs look exactly the same as the Meade dsi pro 2 mono except that the Mammut has cooling, look a good price also, how do they compair to a Atik Titan i wonder ?
