Sharpcap and LX error

Hi All,

I am using an Xbox webcam and Sharpcap, but when i try to use the LX options I get an error saying the LX configuration is not configured correctly...

Any ideas what I need to do as I cant find where I can configure this in Sharpcap

I don't imagine your Xbox camera is LX modded, so it shouldn't be an issue. Don't select an LX modded camera option.

Do you have the latest version of SharpCap? I've just checked on mine and I only get the LX options if I plug in my SPC900. Plugging in an Xbox camera doesn't offer them.

The LX option can only be used if the camera has been converted to have a long exposure mode. This option is for Philips Toucam Pros which have beed modified to allow long exposures.

Hi thanks for the replies.......

I now know I was being hopeful that because the option was there ( and selectable) that the camera was able to do long exposure through its drivers...

Will carry on using my DSLR for any long exposure work
