NGC7635 - Bubble Nebula in Ha

DMouse

Recommended Posts

Hi, I recently purchased the Baader 7nm Ha filter, as I wanted to try some narrowband imaging with my Canon T2i. With the Moon being nearly full, and the sky clear it was the perfect chance to try it out. I recently tried to image the Bubble Neb but didnt have much success. Here are the two for comparison. Both shot with the same equipment apart from of course the Ha filter. In processing I extracted the Red channel before stacking as anything other than a red pixel is noise, due to the filter. Seems to have worked pretty well.

The Color image was 15x240sec exposures @ ISO800

The Mono was 10x240sec exposures @ ISO400

Clear Skies

Great Ha image (and the colour one is pretty good too) and very interesting :) I have just bought a 12nm Ha clip filter and looking forward to trying it - when the weather permits!!
