Counterweights in ASDA - £4

Saw these in ASDA today for only £3.97 each.

Bluey colour, about 10" across.

They come in 2.5kg and 5kg (same price) and have a 1" hole (a bit more like 26mm actually).

Obviously meant for weightlifting, but would be ideal as a counterweight as long as the bar has a 1" diameter.

sorry. I just took it out of the box and had a look. I've given all the info I could get. A 2p piece (26mm) was just smaller than the hole.

I noticed that Tesco had a load of individual weights for sale too.

Picked up a set of five weights, 1 Kg each, with bar for 2 euros (£1.50) at a boot sale 2 weeks ago.

Can't wait for it to cross the meridian Andrew. The weight will slide up the bar and make all kinds of bad things happen.

Yes, KK.

I bought it because piggybacking two scopes requires a lot of counterweight. I would only use this sandwiched between two normal counterweights, or once I've thought of the best way to secure it.
