M4, NGC 6144, NGC 5128,& the Moon

Had a good night last night -

I hadn't taken any pics since February due to bad weather.

I set up the telescope & then the clouds rolled in.

I waited for an hour & it cleared.

Other sizes are on my flickr photos - see link at end.

The first photo is M4 globular cluster.

The second photo is NGC 6144 - globular cluster - close to Antares.

It's a very dim glob, mag. 9.1 & 33 kly, & not imaged too often.

The 3rd is a single 10 minute cropped frame of NGC5128 at ISO 1600.

This was an experiment to see if I could get anything with

such a long exposure with light pollution from an outer

suburb of Melbourne.

The 4th is the Moon.

Thanks guys.

I was just happy to get out & take a few photos after such a long time.

It was freezing cold which helped lower the noise of my EOS 1000d camera.

I put my camera in the fridge to later take dark frames. :smiley:
