Canon 600d on a Skywatcher 200p

After having re-built and serviced my Eq6 pro with the help of Astro Baby and her excellent article, I am ready to start try some photography.

I have just purchased an unmodified Canon 600D.

My telescope is a Skywatcher 200p.

What do I need to connect the camera to the scope?

I have read that with the 200p I will experience focusing issues.

Would the following resolve the focusing issues or is their a cheaper way?

It depends on which version of the 200P you have. The older blue tube ones wouldn't come to focus with a DSLR, the newer Black Diamond ones should reach focus okay. There is some cross over though with OTA's a few years old with the new paint job but the old focusser.

If your 1.25" eyepiece adaptor, unscrews into two pieces to reveal a T-thread, then you will reach focus okay and all you need is a Canon fit T-ring.

My 200p is indeed one of the newer ones.

Thank's for clearing that up.

I will now search and read up posts on the forum regarding camera settings.

Thank you.
