TAL Barlow vs SW ED Deluxe Barlow

Hi, looking to buy a barlow & know the TAL's reputation and I know people like it with Hyperions which is what I use for high mag ( planets so the astigamatism for fast scopes like my 250 Dob isn't an issue.)

BUT as I will probably get a low mag UWA EP down the line am wondering about the SW ED Deluxe as that caters for 2" as well as 1.25" EP's.

It is however c. £20+ more.

What do people think?

Leaving aside the 2" angle will it be any better than the TAL with my Hyperion?

I have the 2/1.25" SW ED Barlow and it is a great piece of kit, gives you that choice to use with 2" ep's, have used it in 2" combo with Hyperion 8mm and works very well. Not tried the 2x Tal Barlow though so can't compare.

Thanks Robin for this and for your excellent article on EP's on the Swindon site. Used to live in Chippenham then nr Marlbrough which would have been handy for the swindon group - oh well.
