3D Printing

Just a quick though, has anybody tried 3D printing? Would have thought it would be ideal for things like webcam converters, bespoke gears etc. Cost depends on volume and type of plastic. Know nothing else about it.

Yep, we used to do it when I worked for a car manufacturer. Very good for prototype parts, especially those that were going to be plastic anyway (eg. air boxes). A bit brittle if thin, but very intricate designs were possible. Excellent for visuallising stuff or trial fitment.
