SmokeyJoe
Just a quick though, has anybody tried 3D printing? Would have thought it would be ideal for things like webcam converters, bespoke gears etc. Cost depends on volume and type of plastic. Know nothing else about it. iwatkins
Problem is, most are for prototyping not for production stuff. 3D printing is the most over hyped tech. this decade.
sgazer
Yep, we used to do it when I worked for a car manufacturer. Very good for prototype parts, especially those that were going to be plastic anyway (eg. air boxes). A bit brittle if thin, but very intricate designs were possible. Excellent for visuallising stuff or trial fitment.
