What do i need to connect my 250mm skywatcher to a eq-6 mount :)

Hi all

Been a while since I was on here. I have been enjoying my skywatcher been taking some photos which i will post in while. but have now decided its time to go the full hog and get a goto mount. So im going to be buying a eq-6 mount and wandered what I would actually need to connect the 250mm scope to the mount .

Its not the new HEQ-6 version its the older EQ-6 pro.

I think you get a bar to fit the 250 with the mount.If not you be looking for a bar around 1ft long or just over.

so a 1ft long dove tail bar and i suppose tube rings?

Yes - the Skywatcher tube rings for the 250PX tube are 288mm in diameter and cost around £40 a pair I think. The longest of the 3 Skywatcher dovetail bars should do the trick.

Indeed - I nearly added "big muscles" to my post

It's amazing how a relatively compact 10" dob mounted scope turns into a monster when you stick it on an EQ mount

Now do I need a special lead to power this eq-6 mount it doesn't come with a power supply?
