The AVI files need to be in the same directory, but do something like this:

* In Registax click the 'Select' button, this will open the 'Open File(s)' dialogue.

* In the 'Open file(s)' dialogue click on the first AVI file you want to use, the file will be highlighted.

* Now hold down the 'Shift' key and and click on the 2nd AVI file you want to use. Both files should now be highlighted.

* Click the 'Open' button on the 'Open File(s)' dialogue to open both files at once.

The same technique can be used to open more than 2 AVI files.

I hope that makes sense.

Cheers,

Chris

I have used virtual dub on many occasions to splice 2 avi's together works great quick and easy then put the finished result into registax , if its a planet and the avi's were captured too far appart ( time wise ) you may get rotational blur in the stacked image so when i have done this in the past i've made sure the 2 joined avi's were captured back to back .
