SW eq5 goto mains power

Hi all

I was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of mains power for the above mount.

I have access to a range of laptop chargers if these would work ??

Also looking for battery power too but im confused what too buy and leads etc.

Maplin do a 13.8v regulated power supply, 5A rating - this should work fine, provided it's not out on the lawn. Just run a 5m lead from the output terminals, with an inline fuse to the mount

If you just want a lead to go straight into the wall (not necessarily the best way to do it) then you could do worse than this:

Just replaced my 5a psu obtained from Modern Astronomy years ago with a Maplins 13.8V 5A regulated supply 13.8V Regulated Mains Power Units : Bench Power Supplies : Maplin Electronics. Do you have any problems with it? The info in the listing says that the connector is a 2.5mm centre, Skywatcher and Celestron use at 2.1mm centre. You may get a loss of power from a loose conection.

Well it wasn't that same one in fairness, I couldn't find the guy I bought mine from lol but near enough the same.
