REGISTAX. How does it work??

I have played around, looked it up on the net. Even the tutorials are beyond my tech skill level.

Any beginner advice?

If you really want to understand what's actually happening then there's this book:

Handbook of Astronomical Image Processin - SCS Astro

but as you'll see it's far from cheap. It also contains a fair bit of maths. Not exactly light reading

Hi,

it depends which version of registax you are using. If you are using Registax 6 then go to this web site http://www.astronomie.be/registax/index.html and look at the instructions. Half way down the page are two links; 'A simple processing run' and 'Using Registax 6'. They are quite good.
