Equitorial mount

a real newbie question here, i,m confused with my eq5 mount.

If i point west after setting up the polar alignment, does the eye piece on a reflector point downwards? i know when you turn it south you up end the tube sort of, and the E/P moves to the top but can't seem to get this with a westerly direction.

Its a strange concept moving the eq5 about and there appears to be nothing in video form to demonstrate the movements:icon_scratch:

If you find that the focuser is pointing in an awkward position after slewing loosen the tube rings slightly and rotate the tube in the rings to give you a better viewing position.
