Does anyone know of a decent, short but more importantly, FREE Astronomy course I can do online. As long as it covers most of the basics and not too indepth please. Hope someone can advise. Thanks in advance people. Regards Al:homework:

i am studying with the open uni- i have done a basic intro and am working towards a degree- depending on your financial situation you can some of them free

the courses are excellent and range from very basic intros to quantum physics and astro biology

I have to say that I did my basic groundwork in astronomy from books. That can work out expensive if you buy them, but I had a good local library that had an astro section and although a lot of the books were a little on the old side, most of the information was still valid.

cant find the intro course- perhaps it was dicontinued- though if you can navigate the ou site- which is easier said than done, you ll be able to find other level 1 courses
