Saturn tonight?

Recommended Posts

Should be a bit lower than 10 degrees above the horizon to the south east about now.

Dunno what that means for Ireland though.

It'll clear the houses round the back of mine in about an hour if that helps

Managed to get a very quick look at Saturn tonight before clouds came in again. Its still lowdown at 10pm and hiding behind my shed! But still git a good view in my Tal1 with 12mm x3 barlow. Thats about 200x I think. Mars with same scope was poor tonight though.

Mars is moving away from us now so is gradually getting smaller in apparent size and more challenging to observe. Saturn however is rising earlier and earlier and starting to get well placed at a reasonably civilised time.
