Odd problems with my goto mount

My goto scope as of last night has had some random issues with suddenly losing power, and I was wondering if a low battery might be the cause?

If it was really loss of power, yes, could have been a low battery. Which would mean (at least) that the problem wasn't with your goto system.

However ...

Might you mean the goto wasn't responding properly?

Did you have everything balanced OK?

Sorry, I'm in the position of a grandchild daring to teachgrandmother to suck eggs here! "Suddenly losing power" can't possibly be a balance problem, can it? Maybe you've got a loose connection somewhere?

A sudden loss of power would indicate a loose/broken power connector.

are you use in a big battery or power tank ? or some other form? if the power drops to low you wil get problems,check where the plug fits the mount does it move about ,is the cable getting twisted tugged and pulled round .a little more info is needed on your ,power supply and all the cable have you bent the wire at a funny angle a lot of plugs sit at right angle to the mount.
