Imaging the Sun with a DMK 21 618 chip.

Hello,

I was imaging the sun with a new DMK 21 with the 618 chip today, and I noticed that it was only running at 16 or less frames per second even though it was set to run 60 frames per second. Does anyone know what would cause this low frame rate ?

I would be greatfull for any info/advice on this.

Maybe the exposure time you were using does not allow 60fps so the camera switched to the nearest mode it could. Thats how it works on my Dfk camera.

Longer exposure values over ride the frame settings. Set the best value you can for the exposure (minimal gain) and just accept the frame rate that comes out.
