Antares Rotator Problem

Hi

I got an Antares Rotator for my 8" Newt. It is on a GPD2 mount. Unfortunately, it raises the height of the scope by about 1-2", and so I cannot now balance the scope. I already have two large weights. Is it better to get a third weight or get a longer counter-balance shaft?

Getting an EQ6 is currently out of the question.

Thanks

IIRC, the recommendation is to keep the weight as close to the centre of gravity as possible*, so adding a small, third weight would be the answer...

* I think its to do with the force needed to move the weight is greater the further out it is....
