What's some objects that are fascinating but didn't make it into the messier of NGC catalogues?

Have you tried some Double/Multiple Stars? I Find Castor fascinating as a sextuple system and its split-able into the 3 pairs with my equipment (not split-able into the 6 though LOL).

I've been trying to split Castor ever since I've had my 'scope, and it just doesn't seem to want to play ! Either I'm looking at the wrong star (which is probably the case), or I need a bigger 'scope ...
