DSLR on spotting scope

Recommended Posts

I have a Sony Alpha DSLR and T ring but can't focus at infinity

when fitted to a terrestial spotting scope.

I can focus up to about sixty feet.

Does this mean I need the camera closer ? not possible, or further away with spacer?

Some of the spotting scope I have seen have a thread under the eyepiece rubber eye relief.

On my scope, it unscrews and I can attach the T ring to that so that the camera is a-focal on the zoom eyepiece.
