Took this one at COAA - single JPEG at 60 seconds, ISO800 with 350D.

A very "loose" cluster for a Glob - but a nice one to observe.

Just wish I could see that far south from Glasgow - but only the tip of Sagittarius and Scorpius peek above the horizon, and then only around mid Summer - when it never really gets dark enough for Astronomy - ho hum, better get the cheque book out and book up another holiday in COAA.

Great to see a globular that's a rarity in the UK Tom.

I have just compared it with the Messier photo in the book, and It is Identical in every way to yours.

In fact the orientation is exactly the same, and yours has better resolved stars.

Very nice indeed. I think we could all do with a couple of weeks in the Algarve.
