Point and click camera question.

Afternoon people.

My first scope,an SW 8" Dob sould be here on Monday so to speed up time a little I thought I'd get some of the simple questions out of the way.

Basically at christmas I purchased a Panasonic lumix TZ18.Ive seen quite a few pictures on here where people have said they've grabbed some quick pics with just their camera phone.

I was wondering if I could use my camera to get any pictures through the scope?

Or can you get some sort of adaptor to use it?

Primarily I just want to observe everything,but who knows,maybe I'll get hooked on wanting to do photography in the future.

I've saved those YouTube videos for later as the Internet seems slow today.They look most usefull though.

Peter those shots look great,I can't wait to give this a try.

Can I get a specific adaptor that will attach a lumix to a Dob?

I use one of these First Light Optics - Skywatcher Universal Camera Adapter (seen in the video). The adapter is clamped around the eyepiece and the camera sits on the platform.

I have used my Panasonic TZ7 compact held to the eyepiece for some pics of the moon.
