Would a 240 volt connection into a Tent be a bit iffy, bearing in mind the amount of damp that gets in to anything left inside...A Camper Van/Caravan is a different kettle of fish and my last Caravan had a small oil rad running 24/7

I don't bother heating the tent. A field full of thermal plooms spoiling the seeing is not what you need at a starparty! I will see what the weather's like nearer the time and if it's really cold I will bring an electric blanket.

You have to (or rather it would be daft not to) use a EHU unit with RCD and MCB. So it should be safe...
