Make fringe killer permanent ?

Hi

I have a Baadar fringe killer for my 120mm evostar. (1000mm focal length). I have used some isolating tape to fit the 2" filter on to the other end of my focusing tube (inside my scopes belly). A couple of reasons I've done this...

-It saves me worrying about the filter when swapping EP's over

-Solves a problem when doing eyepeice projection photography on the moon (2" filter / 1.25" EP's)

Is this a good idea, can a fringe killer crucify the colouring with astro-photography ? :scratch:

I bought a fringe killer specifically for the imaging side of things.

You'll find that it will help,

I find using a diagaonal that is threaded for filters works well. Just screw the filter in to the diagonal nosepiece. Means you can quickly retrieve it should you need to do so.
