Jupiters moons

Hi

Was looking at Jupiter last night (1st March) and saw three of its moons in a line with the planet, seen four in the past, all in line, but there was another one further out not in alignment, any clues ?

It was probably HIP10784, a star.

Avo, do you have the free download program Stellarium? It will show you what you are looking at and is a great little program to have..

Have downloaded Stellarium, it's very good, and I believe you are correct Dave-Ryan, think it was HIP10784.

I looked at Jupiter early last night 3 moons and a star in my FOV, Stellarium only showed 3 moons, a advance in the time scale would show the 4th.
