Polar Scope Webcam

Hi Guys

I have recently done the DIY modification to my SPC900 webcam as shown on Astronomyshed.

Simple idea and costs about £1.25.

Now , having tried it out and can confirm that it works a treat, i will no longer be sitting on the floor ,legs between 2 of the tripod legs , cricking my neck to be able to look through the polar scope .

Anyone that owns an SPC900 webcam should do this modification as it makes life so much simpler when polar aligning..

I'd love an SPC900 I could do this to, but they seem to be a bit thin on the ground atm ...

I've done the mod - now need to be able to see Polaris...

Apparently the MS Lifecam cinema is sensitive enough for this application. I have mounted one in a 32mm bung end ready for a clear Polaris to try since the xbox one wasnt sensitive enough - Oh hum £6 wasted lol.

I won't bother getting a cheap xbox camera then!
