Software for webcam capture

I am going to try to use my modified webcam to capture images of whatever I be able to see in my scope.

Obviously it will be connected to my laptop but what will be the best software to capture/record these images? And after recording, which is the best software to use for processing the footage?

Any tips on using a webcam for astro-photography is welcome

meaning all the recorded footage I can process and edit in these software for a final result?

Registax or Avistacker are used for stacking the individual frames of the AVI to reduce noise and improve the signal. The programs also have "wavelets" which can increase the amount of detail in the final image. After that you can use Photoshop or similar for the final tweaks.
