M57 with the Tal and Nikon D50

Went out last night as it was clear but not dark and set up. By 11 o'clock it was a bit dark so I had a go at M57 using the D50 at prime focus on the Tal 200K Klevtsov. Alongside it was an 80mm f/5 as a guidescope with an SC3 webcam pointed at Vega. I set up DSLR shutter to do 60 frames of 70 seconds with the ISO set as high as it would go i.e.1600.

After 7 shots the clouds arrived so that put paid to that session. The clouds weren't even kain's posh ones, just Cloudus Vulgaris.

You will notice the lack of the non-central central star BTW due, I think, to being a touch off with the focus.

There should be a set of M13s on the card as well from even earlier in the night so I'll have a play with those next.

Missed this one earlier! You know what,I think that is more pleasing on the eye than the usual black sky, high contrast views of M57! Just a personal thing I guess.
