Great night novelty.

I am so so happy. Had my second clear night in five weeks. So tried to make the most of it. Went out at 22:15 after cooling scope for an hour. As I have had a month of useless conditions I told myself 'I was going to find something I've not seen before through my scope' I actually found 3 things. First & easiest was Mars, bit disapointing really but not seen it other than through bino's previously. Next I found M47 and M46 the latter was such a lovely view, I never managed to see the planetary nebula within M46 but hey ho. Then finally to ursa major picked up M81 and M82 what a lovely site these two are. Anyway I am not really used to such great stargazing nights, so thought I would share. Clear skies and happy gazing all @SGL.
