M1 LRGB

This one is from a couple of weeks ago that I've just got round to processing. I can now reliably guide my SCT at 1600mm focal length after two passes with Alignmaster, so I decided to go for a smaller target. This is M1 with a C8 SCT+ TeleVue0.8 FR+ SXFW+SXOAG+SXVH16+SX Lodestar guidecam+EQ6+Baader LRGB filters. Exposures were 5xL:600s, 4xRGB:320s. Processed in DSS and PS.

Looks like there's a problem with your dark sky in the photo. Looks good, but, maybe a gradient removal tool would help a little.

Here's your image run through Annie's Astro actions gradient removal #1. Seems to look a little better. I also added a layer mask to bring your M1 back to the original color. Then I applied levels to the dark sky @ 18 for the black point. Hope this helps a little.

That's looking pretty good. Did you give the saturation a bit of a boost?

@dugdog, thanks for the reprocess, there is a bit of background noise in the original, but I was too interested in target and forgot about it! @sam, yes I did boost the saturation a little to improve the colour.
