1st Jupiter image

Hi All, big learning curve but this is my first attempt at imaging using my recently modded lifecam and using Sharpcap/registax. by eck its hard. although the clouds kept rolling in tonight+ it was windy

Nice captures. Good cloud banding there. As you say it`s a very steep learning curve. Well done.

Its a good feeling when you can show your images to other people.

It make it all worth while. My images are in mono.Will have to get a

colour camera.Looks a lot better.Well done,Its not as easy as it

looks, is it.

great pic there, you can see a lot of details there

The pic is a bit red, are you using IR filter on the webcam?

Hope you don't mind, but i gave it a quick go in PS, lowering the red channel a little to make it look a bit more natural.

Hi Jannis, no I don't mind at all and your help is greatly appreciated. No IR filter, that's the next purchase. As said mine are a bit on the red side.

I could be wrong, but judging by the position of the great red spot, you took the video sometime soon after 7pm last night. Europa started a transit of Jupiter at 7.32pm and I think that could be the small bump on the left of your first image. Does the time sound about right? You captured some good detail there.
