Just did a quick and ignorant repro in AS! 2

and think it looks quite promising

Now that one is very good and smooth with detail, good sharp disc with hardly any ringing. Regx6 may be better with several align points - well done on a great result.

It was the same avi, but not really a fair comparison as I have no idea what I am doing with AS! 2

So the process was probably entirely different.

That said I was very pleased with how easy it was to operate for a dummy like me:rolleyes:

I think it was actually less frames Stuart:confused:

I will try to find out:)

But I think it is doing a better job in the initial frame quality selection.

I haven't (probably my fault) been able to get Registax performing very well with Mars so far:(

Here's one that's gone from Rare to Medium to Burnt:D

1st image of these 3 is the best Rob as it has a nice round disc. The other 2 look over cooked especially the last one. I've been looking again at my own images and reckon I've been over cooking them in wavelets probably because the seeing was not great. Too used to processing Jupiter I guess.

I agree Stuart Although the previous 2 have identical sharpening, just differing in brightness.

That's why my "Burnt" comment:) on the last one.
